Delete your account
You never have to ask us to do this. Deleting your LittleStep account, and everything in it, takes two taps inside the app — and it is the same deletion either way.
In the app (fastest)
- Open LittleStep and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm. That is all — it happens immediately, and you are signed out.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, write to [email protected] from the email address on the account, and say you want it deleted. We reply to confirm, and we complete it within 30 days — usually the same day.
We ask you to write from the account's own address because that is the only way we can tell it is really you. If you cannot, tell us and we will find another way to check.
What gets deleted
- Your family account, your email address on it, and every sign-in and session.
- Your child's profile — name, birthday, interests and everything you typed about them in your own words.
- Their character sheet, including the appearance traits and the picture drawn from them. (The photo you may have offered was never stored in the first place — see the privacy policy.)
- Every story and moment made for your child, with their pages, illustrations and the records naming them. The picture files themselves are deleted from our image storage too, not just unlinked — a picture whose record is gone but whose file is still readable at a URL would not be deleted at all.
- Your library and delivery history — what you were given, and what you opened.
- The devices linked to the family, and any pending invitations.
What stays
- The shared library. Stories that were not made for your child — the ones every family can be given — are not yours to delete, and your name never appears in them.
- Ordinary server logs, kept briefly for security and fault-finding, then rotated out.
- Encrypted backups, which are cycled out on their normal schedule. Your data is gone from our live systems at once, and out of backups within 30 days.
If you were invited to someone else's family
Deleting removes your place on that account — your sign-in, your sessions and your membership. The child's profile and the family's library belong to the person who created the account and are left untouched. Only the account owner can delete the whole family.
There is nothing to cancel first. LittleStep is in Free Beta — there is no subscription, no purchase and no card on file, so deleting your account does not leave a payment behind.
